Well-known Assamese singer Papon, of Jiyein kyun and Moh Moh Ke Dhage, is back again to render his powerful vocals to an Indian Super League team's anthem. After being a part of NorthEast United FC's anthem titled 'The power of 8' last year, Papon has sung the official anthem of Atletico de Kolkata -- titled 'Aamar Bukey ATK' (ATK in my heart) ahead of ISL 2016.

The track is composed by Raja Narayan Deb, of Bengali film Bhooter Bhabishyat fame. The interesting thing remains that although the lyrics of the song are passionate enough to arise the plethora of football fans in Kolkata, the reviews received aren't that strong enough.

One of the best Bollywood singers, Arijit Singh of 'Tum Hi Ho' and 'Soch Na Sake' fame, had lent his vocals to the track Fatafati Football -- the official anthem of Atletico de Kolkata last year and the song instantly received plenty of plaudits. The flamenco flavour of that number unlike the not-so-appealing electronica flavour in Aamar Bukey ATK number had managed to get all the attraction.

"Sorry to say but....... First one is far better......!!!!!! [sic]," commented Sudipto Roy, a user. "Previous Anthem was far better.. [sic]," wrote Aritra Saha.

The new anthem may not have hit the right chords, but this won't hopefully lower the morale of the Atletico de Kolkata team, who get their campaign under way on October 2 against defending Indian Super League champions Chennaiyin FC at Rabindra Sarobar Stadium in Kolkata.
