Hyderabad, Jan 30 (ANI): Police rescued at least 48 child labourers from bangle factories in Hyderabad. The children were rescued after police carried out multiple raids across the city. Most of them belonged to Bihar state. The police have been carrying out raids as part of their 'Smile' programme to rescue minor children working in hazardous conditions. Hyderabad Police circle officer, N Rama Rao said they have booked a case against the owners and efforts are on to nab the culprits. Some children said they were forced to abandon their studies and work in factories with either no pay or little pay. A 13-year-old Mohammad Ruhail, who came from Bihar, said he was forced to work because of poverty.
