Taiwanese consumer electronics manufacturer ASUS has launched a new laptop for Indian consumers. Dubbed as ZenBook UX305, the latest laptop is just 12.3mm thick and weighs just 1.2Kg. ASUS has claimed that the ZenBook UX305 is the slimmest 13.3-inch laptop in the world till date.

The laptop is the recipient of 2014 Good Design Award from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) and 2015 iF Design Award.

The ZenBook UX305 boasts a 13.3-inch QHD IPS anti-glare display with a resolution support of 3200x1800 pixels. The display features an amazing pixel density of 275ppi for crisp, vivid and lifelike images and video. With 300cd/m2 brightness, a contrast ratio of 770:1 and an ergonomic anti-glare coating, blacks are deep, whites are stunningly pure, and the wide gamut (72% NTSC) ensures accurate colours.

Powered by the new Intel Core M-5Y10 processor the UX305 has been aptly backed with up to 8GB worth RAM memory. For the storage, ZenBook UX305 features an 512GB SSD drive with SATA 6GBits/sec performance capability.

The ZenBook UX305 also features the advanced ASUS thermal management design for fanless body. For battery power, ASUS has featured lithium-polymer battery with a claimed battery life of up to 10 hours.

On the connectivity front, the UX305 offers three SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, out of which one USB ports supports ASUS Charger+ technology for rapid recharging of mobile devices. A USB-to-Ethernet adapter is bundled with UX305, along with a mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter for connecting to an external monitor.

The Zenbook UX305 is available in Obsidian Stone and Ceramic Alloy and is priced at ₹49,999. The device will be available on Flipkart and ASUS Exclusive Stores from 15 May 2015 onwards.
