Taiwanese consumer electronics major Asus unveiled the new Zenfone Max model in India on May 23.
"Zenfone Max has been one of our star products. The product features including its long battery life, ability to be a portable charger for other devices, stunning good looks and an affordable price resonated well with our audiences and helped us deliver our promise of making luxury affordable. The enhanced version of the Zenfone Max with a brand new processor, increased memory and more personalisation options helps us stay true to our ethos and offer an extremely cost-effective high-end luxury product," Peter Chang, region head (South Asia) and country manager for ASUS India, said in a statement.
The new Zenfone Max model comes with huge upgrade over its predecessor. It boasts advanced 64-bit class 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core SoC (System-on-Chip) with 32GB inbuilt memory and 3GB/2GB RAM options.
As the name suggests, marquee feature of the Zenfone Max is the massive battery capacity. Asus has incorporated a staggering 5000mAh cell, which can keep the device running for up to 3 days under normal usage and close to 38 days under standby mode. It can even be used as power bank to charge other devices.

It features 5.5-inch HD screen Gorilla Glass 4, , 2GB RAM, 4G-LTE support, dual-SIM slots, a 13MP camera with PixelMaster technology, Dual-LED Real Tone flash, laser auto-focus and a 5mp camera with wide-angle field of view.
Asus Zenfone Max price and release details:
As of now, the new Zenfone Max has been listed on Flipkart in 2GBRAM/32GB storage (HERE) and 3GB RAM/32GB inbuilt memory configuration (HERE) for Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 12,999, respectively. They are made available in two new colours, orange and blue, and also in standard black and white.
