Taiwanese smartphone-maker Asus has launched a new camera-centric Zenfone 2 variant called Laser 6 (ZE601KL).
The company already sells Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE550KL) in India. The key difference between the two Laser models is the former sports a 5.5-inch HD screen and is powered a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 2,070-mAh battery, while the new Zenfone 2 Laser 6 sports a bigger 6.0-inch HD screen and comes packed with the Qualcomm's latest 64-bit 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) octa-core (8 x ARM Cortex A53) CPU backed by a sumptuous 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and 3,000-mAh cell.
However, the camera features are the same in both devices: Feature-rich 13MP camera with an advanced laser-guided auto-focus.
The laser-based auto-focus feature measures the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam, enabling users to capture good quality photos under low-light conditions quickly.
The primary camera also features large f/2.0-aperture, five-element auto-focus lens, Laser Auto Focus for up to 2X faster focus, Dual LED Real Tone flash, Blue Glass Infrared Filter, Zero Shutter Lag.

Zenfone 2 Laser 6 also houses en equally impressive 5MP camera. It comes with large f/2.0-aperture and wide-angle (85-degree) lens.
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 6 price and availability:
The company has confirmed that the new Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 6 has been made available on Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon India for Rs 17,999.
Competition:
The new Zenfone 2 Laser 6 will be up against the popular Motorola Moto X Play, OnePlus X, Micromax Sliver 5, OnePlus One and others.
