Taiwanese tech major Asustek has released an upgraded variant of its flagship calling Fonepad tablet PC in India on Thursday.
Popular online retailer Flipkart has listed the new Asus Tablet variant for sale with a price-tag of ₹17,999.
The new Asus Fonepad variant sports a 7.0-inch LED Backlight IPS screen with HD 1280x800p resolution display with close to 216 pixels per inch pixel density. It runs on the Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean powered by a faster 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor paired with PowerVR SGX540 graphics engine.
The Asus tablet packs 1GB LPDDR2 RAM and 32GB memory which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. Camera wise, the new model packs the same specification - a 3.0-megapixel camera with auto-focus on the rear-side and a 1.2-megapixel secondary camera on the front.
The company's 8GB Asus Fonepad variant which was launched in April is still available in the market with a price-tag of ₹15,999. A noticeable difference in the tablet is that it packs a slightly slower 1.2GHz Intel Z240 processor.
