If you thought Ubisoft would leave current generation players of Assassin's Creed without any new content when the next-generation players will be playing Assassin's Creed Unity, then you are wrong, as the studio has outed a new trailer showing its protagonist for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue.

Assassin's Creed Rogue will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So current generation players will now get to play a separate story featuring all new characters and story.

On the story end, Ubisoft introduces a dark chapter in the franchise's history allowing players to control Shay Patrick Cormac who has suffered betrayal in the hands of his own brothers after a mission for Assassin Brotherhood went awry.

Carman now wants the blood of his brothers, while the players will make the journey with him to the Arctic, the North Atlantic Ocean, the Appalachian River Valley and New York City.

Ubisoft has outed a trailer that shows the bemoaning, yet decisive Cormac dropping his sword for a gun. The timeline of the story is set during the Seven Years War of the 18th century.

Cormac has only one objective in his mind - to destroy every Assassin he meets on his journey. Deducing from his accents, he is definitely an Irish American.

Players can certainly expect new environment with Ubisoft promised to introduce "never-before-seen weapons." The players will also get a new ship named The Morrigan that will bring back the naval gameplay that was existing in Black Flag. The ship will be decked with weapons like puckle gun (a machine gun-like weapon) and burning oil.

Players will also be able to unlock hidden locations when they ram into the icebergs that will allow their ship to escape or cover during battle.

Ubisoft's post clearly suggested that players will be able to journey through the cold temperatures of the Arctic and clarified that it will be similar to Black Flag where players has seamless descent into the land and back to the ship.

No Multi-player Mode

If the latest issue of Game Informer (via Videogamer) has to be believed, that Ubisoft will not be including a multi-player mode in the game. The report said the game is being developed as a single-player only title.
