Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma will tie the knot as per Hindu and Christian customs. The ceremony will be held on 20 January at a private hotel in New Delhi.

While Asin is a Christian, Rahul Sharma, the co-founder of Micromax, is a Hindu. Hence, the couple has decided to solemnise their marriage as per both the religions, reports The Times of India. The preparation for the wedding is in full swing and the marriage is restricted to a limited number of guests, which includes mostly their relatives and close friends. The guests will be served vegetarian food at the wedding.

Prior to the marriage, the couple will have their sangeet ceremony on 19 January. Asin and Rahul Sharma are also throwing a big party on 23 January in Mumbai, organised mainly for their friends and the who's who of Bollywood is expected to grace the event.

However, it is not clear whether Asin's friends from southern film industry are going to be a part of the party. She has worked in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries, before taking a plunge into Bollywood and the actress is known to have lots of friends in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Asin and Rahul are busy with the last-minute preparations for the wedding. They are also taking time out to personally invite their friends from B-town and actor Akshay Kumar received an invite a few days ago. In fact, Akki, who played a crucial role in their relationship, was the first one to receive the invite.

"Happy to receive the 1st wedding card of 2 of my close friends, Rahul & Asin. Wishing you both happiness always (sic)," he tweeted.
