The Indian contingent have bagged a total of 12 medals, ten out of which are bronze. India need to convert these bronze medals into gold and silver, if they expect to move up the medals tally in the Asian Games.

If Saurav Ghosal had won the men singles squash final, and Dushyant had held onto his lead in the men's lightweight single sculls event, India could have been occupying the eighth position in the medal's tally. Instead, India find themselves languishing in 15th spot.
