Inflation rate remains negative for tenth week in a row, food prices climb
India's annualized wholesale price index (WPI) based inflation rate stood at -1.53 percent for the week ended August 8 as compared to -1.74 percent for the previous week despite prices of food items relentlessly surging. The inflation rate stood at 12.82 percent during the corresponding period a year ago.
