South Korean consumer electronics giant, LG is all set debut the much anticipated flagship phone G3 later this month.

LG has reportedly begun sending out the press invites to select media houses for the G3 launch on 27 May. The company is said to hold multiple simultaneous events in six cities- London, New York, San Francisco, and the following day (28 May) at Singapore, Istanbul and in the home market Seoul.

The invite quotes great American poet Ralph Emerson Waldo, which says - "To be simple is to be Great", the alphabet G has been highlighted to indirectly hint the new generation G3 smartphone is on its way.

Going by the LG efforts to host launch events in six cities, it seems like G3's extravagant unveiling event would over shadow the rival Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked launch event in Barcelona, which was a bit sober compared to last year.

By trying to pull off a big launch events, LG is bringing lot of pressure on itself to live up to expectations of the critics and the fans and if rumors are to believed, G3 is unlikely to disappoint.

LG G3 is said to pack some top-of-the line specifications such as 2K (2560x1440p) resolution display, company's in-house built Octa-core processor code-named Odin, 3GB RAM, a 16.0-megapixel camera/13.0-megapixel with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizations), 2.1-megapixel front camera and value added attributes such as fingerprint sensor-based biometric technology for secured screen locking and water-proof certifications.

As of now, there is no proof to check the veracity of the speculations twirling in the Internet, but if the rumored specification of G3 do turn out to be true, LG has got itself true champion to challenge the company's South Korean counterpart Samsung, which currently the reigning smartphone leader.
