"Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter's next project is reportedly titled "The Bastard Executioner". TV industry is raving about the innovative name of the show and Danger Guerrero of UPROXX even told fans that he will pay $5 to anyone who can come up with a better name.

For "The Bastard Executioner" Sutter is going to get creatively involved with Imagines' Brian Grazer. This new FX series is a period drama-something like "Sons of Anarchy" meets "Games of Thrones".  "Executioner" will tell the story of a warrior in the reign of Kind Edward III, who takes a vow never to use his sword again. However, due to circumstances he is forced to pick up the sword once again, which turns out to be the bloodiest swords of all.

"I love the network. I love the world. I love the blood," Deadline quoted Sutter.

Reports suggest that Sutter will start working on the show once Season 7 of "Sons of Anarchy" gets over.

Moreover, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf is pretty excited about the new show and he suggested that "The Bastard Executioner" would be one of the most riveting TV series to come in the recent times.

"For 13 years at FX, starting as a writer and working his way up to an executive producer on The Shield, then as Creator/Executive Producer of Sons Of Anarchy, Kurt has interwoven literary and pulp storytelling within two of the most successful series in cable history," the website quoted FX Networks CEO John Landgraf.

"Now he has conceived a deep, provocative and historically precise narrative journey into our medieval past - and I have no doubt Bastard Executioner will be another remarkably original and gripping series. We're also thrilled to be in business with Brian Grazer, one of the most gifted film and TV producers in the business," he added.
