Before the South Korean company could officially announce the 2014 flagship smartphone LG G3, its compact variant G3 Mini specifications has surfaced online.

LG community blog, My LG Phones has gotten hold of the internal document of LG-D725 (aka B2 Mini), which many claim as to be the mini variant of the yet-to-be-released LG G3. It stems from the fact that the upcoming marquee LG phone is known by the codename B2.

In the document, LG G3 Mini is shown to feature 720x1280p HD display, 8.0-megapixel main camera and runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS. Though there is no mention of the screen size, many peg that the device will sport around 4.3-inch and 4.7-inch size screen. Its rival flagship mini variants like Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and HTC One Mini available in the market also come with the same specifications.

Other key details such as CPU, RAM, storage and battery capacity are yet to ascertained, but they are certain to be sub-par compared to its elder sibling LG G3, which is said to house a monster 5.5-inch display with a staggering 2K (2560x1440p) display resolution and powered by company's in-house built Octa-core processor codenamed Odin, with 3GB RAM, a 16.0-megapixel camera/13.0-megapixel with OIS (Optical Image Stabilizations), 2.1-megapixel front camera and boasts value added attributes such as fingerprint sensor-based biometric technology for secured screen locking and water-proof certifications.

Word on the streets of South Korea (courtesy, ZDNet) is that, LG , in a bid to hurt the Samsung Galaxy S5 sales is reportedly planning to launch the G3 as early as May/June, few months ahead of the G2's one year-cycle completion.
