The fifth edition of the Norway Tamil Film Festival (NTFF) has announced the winners of Tamilar Awards 2014.

The NTFF, founded by Vaseeharan Sivalingam and presented by founding sponsor VN Music Dreams, has revealed the final list of winners in various categories including best director, best actor and best actress among others.

Director Bala's critically-acclaimed film "Paradesi" has swept the Tamil Awards 2014 by winning in four categories - best film, best director, best actor and best cinematographer.

Best Director - Bala ("Paradesi")

Best Cinematographer - Chelian ("Paradesi")

Best Actor - Atharvaa ("Paradesi")

Best Actress - Pooja ("Vidiyum Munn")

Best Music Director - AR Rahman ("Kadal"/"Maryan")

Best Singer (Female) - Shakthi Sri Gopalan ("Nenchukkule" from "Kadal"/ "Engapona Rasa" from "Maryan")

Best Singer (Male) - Sriram Parthasarathi ("Aanandha Yaalai" from ThangaMeengal)

Best Comedy Actor - Soori ("Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam")

Best Lyricist - Na Muthukumar ("Thanga Meengal")

Lifetime Achievement Award - Manorama

Director Balumahendra Award / The Most Appreciated Film - "Haridas" (Child artist/Kishore)

K.S.Balachandran Award / The Most Popular Film - "Raja Rani"

Midnight Sun Award - Paranoid Patient produced by Dhodhel Productions

NTFF has also announced the list of winners of the Tamil awards under the world category. This award is given to films made by Tamil's living in other parts of the world

Best Film - "A Gun & A Ring"

Best Director - Lenin.M.Sivam ("A Gun & A Ring")

Best Actor - Prathaap Ravichandran ("Paranoid Patient")

Best Actress - Thenuga K (A Gun & A Ring)

The awardees will receive the awards at the Norway Tamil Film Festival to be held in Oslo, Norway, on 27 April 2014.

The winners of short film, music Video, documentary and animation will be announced online on 10 April 2014, according to a news release from the NTFF official website.
