Pawan Kalyan- Sampath Nandi's "Gabbar Singh 2" was launched on Friday (21 February).

"Gabbar Singh 2" was announced prior to the release of Pawan's 2013-blockbuster flick "Attarintiki Daredi." The film was expected to go on floors in January, but got delayed due to reasons that are not very clear.

It was said that Sampath Nandi was working on the film's script, which delayed the commencement of the film. The delay led to speculations about the film's fate. Rumours were doing the rounds that the film has been shelved after reports emerged that Pawan will be doing the Telugu remake of Hindi film "Oh My God."

However, putting an end to all rumours, the "Gabbar Singh 2" team launched the film on Friday. A formal pooja was held with the presence of Pawan Kalyan, director Sampath Nandi, music composer Devi Sri Prasad and other members of the team. To look at the pictures, click HERE.

The film's shooting is all set to commence in April. It will be produced by Sharath Marar, a close friend of Pawan Kalyan. The "Gabbar Singh 2" team is reportedly planning to release the film during the Dussehra festival.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is soon expected to commence shooting for "Oh My God" remake, which also stars "Victory" Venkatesh. While Pawan will reportedly be playing the role of God (doned by Akshay Kumar in the original), Venkatesh will don the character of a lawyer who sues God (played by Paresh Rawal in the Hindi version). The film is expected to go on floors soon. Buzz is that Pawan will be  working in both the films simultaneously.
