Television actress Aamna Shariff has tied the knot with distributor-turned-producer Amit Kapoor.
Aamna, who became popular by doing the female protagonist in TV serials "Kahiin to Hoga" and "Hongey Judaa Na Hum", was in a relationship with Amit for over a year, and the two got engaged in a low-key ceremony back in September.
They got married in a private ceremony on Friday. However, the celebrity couple held a grand wedding reception for their friends from the film and TV industry on Saturday at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
Several Bollwood celebrities and TV personalities attended the reception to congratulate the couple. Bollywood stars Abhay Deol with girlfriend Preeti Desai, Richa Chadda, Randeep Hooda, television stars Ragini Khanna, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Mounii Roy, Aamir Ali, Cezanne Khan and Karanvir Bohra were among the stars who attended the reception.
Aamna made her television debut with "Kahiin to Hoga", a popular serial that was aired from 2003 to 2007. She then made her film debut through the 2009 Bollywood film "Aloo Chaat", co-starring Aftab Shivdasini. In the same year, she starred once again with Aftab in "Aao Wish Karein." She was last seen doing a supporting role in "Shakal Pe Mat Ja", which released in 2011.
Last year, Aamna made a comeback of sorts with "Hongey Judaa Na Hum". The show was aired from September 2012 but ended in March this year, owing to poor ratings.
