Xolo's budget quad-core phone, X1000 Opus, which was announced last month is now up for pre-orders on Indian online stores.

The new phone sports a 5.0-inch FWVGA (480x854p) IPS display with pixel density of 196 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.

Xolo Q1000 Opus is the company's first handset to boast of a Broadcom chipset. It houses a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 312MHz VideoCore IV graphics engine and includes 1GB RAM plus 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB). Other features include a 5.0-megapixel main camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera for video chat, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity features and a 2000mAh battery, capable of giving 11 hours of 3G talk time and close to 526 hours under stand-by time mode (3G).

Consumers can place orders for the new Xolo Q1000 Opus on Flipkart and Infibeam for ₹9,999. Shipment is expected to commence in the third week of December.

Last week, the company also announced a new 7.0-inch tablet PC Xolo Play Tegra Note. The device boasts of a 1.8GHz Tegra 4 quad-core and is touted to be the fasted mini tablet in the market. Another mentionable fact is that it runs on the stock Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and is said to get the KitKat update directly from tablet co-developer, Nvidia.
