Even as they are trying to come to terms with the sudden loss of someone close, the family and friends of Paul Walker are reportedly planning an emotional farewell to the "Fast & Furious" star sometime next week.

The 40-year-old actor died on 30 November in a car accident along with friend Rodas, 38, after their Porsche Carrera GT burst into flames, after hitting a utility pole and a tree in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles. The actor died of "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries" and his friend of "multiple traumatic injuries", according to autopsy results revealed by the Los Angeles county coroner. "They have not decided when the funeral will take place, it is still a work in progress," a friend of Paul and his family told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. "They want to make sure that everyone who wants to mourn will be together and all schedules match. They hopefully will have more of an idea next week."

According to E! Online, Tyrese Gibson, Walker's co-star in "Fast & Furious", is helping the bereaved family in funeral arrangements. The actor, who was close to Walker, was spotted crying inconsolably at the crash site a few days ago.

"My heart is hurting so bad. No one can make me believe this is real. Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand. My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real... Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family..." wrote heartbroken Gibson on his Facebook page, a day after the demise of his friend.

"Fast & Furious" franchise released a heartbreaking tribute video to Walker on Wednesday, bringing back some of his most memorable moments in the film series. The emotional two-minute YouTube video has received more than 17 million hits in less than four days.

The video clip has fellow "Fast & Furious" actor Vin Diesel saying, "The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now. Salut mi familia" raising a toast. It features background music "Coming Home," by J. Cole and Skylar Grey.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios has announced the shut down of "Fast & Furious 7" production following the death of Walker. It added that fans of the film would be informed of any development on the latest series.
