The distribution rights of Vijay's upcoming Tamil film "Jilla" has been sold in all areas.

The film, produced by RB Choudary, was opened for territory wise sale a couple of days of ago. The distribution rights of all the areas have been sold out.

Confirming the news, senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Jilla - All areas sold out under 2 days after producer RB Choudary opened trade on the movie."

Sreedhar revealed that Shibu of Thameens Films, a veteran Kerala distributor, bought the "Jilla" rights for Chennai city. The film's distribution rights in NSC (North Arcot, South Arcot and Chengalpattu) areas as well as overseas markets have been purchased by Yahaya Bhai & associates.

Leading distributor Cosmo Shiva has bought the film's Coimbatore distribution rights, whereas Trichy distribution rights are acquired by Boss Films. According to a report in Indiaglitz, veteran actor Mohanlal, who plays a pivotal role in "Jilla", has been really impressed with the film and has bought its Kerala distribution rights. 

Directed by debutant RT Nesan, "Jilla" is gearing up for a massive release worldwide. Besides Vijay and Mohanlal, the mass entertainer has Kajal Aggarwal, Mahat Raghavendra, Soori and Poornima Bhagyaraj in supporting roles.

Most of the film's portions have reportedly been completed. Its leading pair - Vijay and Kajal - are shooting a song sequence in a Chennai studio. Later, they will be going to Madurai to complete some patchwork scenes.

The film's production work is in full swing. According to reports, producer RB Choudary is planning to get the first copy of "Jilla" ready and censored by the end of December. The film's soundtrack is by Imman and the music launch is expected to take place by the end of this month. 

If all goes according to plan, "Jilla" will hit the screens in January 2014. The film is likely to clash with Ajith's "Veeram" which is slated to release on 10 January.
