Indian stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma is a reportedly in a relationship.

The "Comedy Nights with Kapil" (CNWK) star is said to be seeing Preeti Simoes, who heads the popular television show. The couple has been spotted together on several occasions.

A brief comment on Simoes' Twitter handle read, "Heading Comedy nights with Kapil.. A dream project wid a dream team. Love my job! Love de ppl I wrk wid ! Love my dogs .. Animal activist! Task master! Honest!"

Her social networking profile which has several pictures from the sets of the show is also followed by Kapil himself.

However, there is a twist in their romance. Reports claim that the comedian is already engaged to his "Hans Baliye" co-star Bhavna Chatrath, better known as Ginni.

Ginni's posts on social networking sites hinted at her relationship status with Kapil. Even friends of the actress were seen congratulating her engagement on the post.

But the comedian has come clean of the alleged link-up and clarified to The Times of India saying, "I am not dating anyone and my only relationship is with my work."

"I have struggled to reach where I am today and I can't let these rumours affect me. I have realised that this is part and parcel of being a public figure. I am a private person and request the media to rather write about my work."

He further added, "I would not like to talk about the same any further as it also harms the dignity of the two girls involved."

Kapil was also invited to be a part of the dance reality show "Nach Baliye 6" as a contestant which would mean participating with his girlfriend. The actor confirming the news told the  news agency, "Yes, the makers of the show have approached me to join the show either as a host or as a participant. I am not interested in doing it as I don't want any false publicity by going for the show as a participant with any fake partner."

Recently, CNWK was declared the Best Comedy Show at the Indian Telly Awards. Kapil was bestowed with Best Actor Comedy and co-star Ali Asgar received the Best Supporting Actor award.
