Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Users to Get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS Update Soon

Samsung Galaxy Note 3's previous iteration, Galaxy Note 2 is reportedly being tested with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The news comes from one of the reliable Samsung leak website, Sam Mobile via Twitter feed.

"Breaking: Samsung has just started testing Android 4.3 for the #GalaxyNoteII," stated the tweet. If the rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy Note 2 users might get the 4.3 Jelly Bean update by the end of this year (November/December).

It has been also speculated by Sam Mobile that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS update will be first rolled out to Samsung's flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4 in October and Samsung Galaxy S3 during October and November, reported  Android Authority.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Mega 5.8 are also speculated to be on the verge of receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, according to Phone arena.

The features to arrive with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean include:

- Virtual surround sound
- Autocomplete Dial-Pad (will suggest phone numbers as soon as the user starts typing the numbers on the dial-pad)
-Easy text input with improved tap-typing recognition
-Location detection through Wi-Fi (without turning on Wi-Fi all the time)
-Bluetooth Low Energy
-Open GL ES 3.0 for enhanced graphics
-Restricted profiles - Mode in which a user has limited access to apps and other content
-Faster user switching from the lock screen

In related news, it has been noted that the Samsung Galaxy S3 handset will be receiving Galaxy S4 features along with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to borrow few camera features from Galaxy S4 along with battery improvements and minor UI tweaks. It is also believed that the OS update will be received OTA (Over-The-Air) or vie Samsung Kies on PC.
