After two consecutive hits, actor Sivakarthikeyan is back to tickle your funny bones with his latest comedy entertainer "Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam" (VVS).

Directed by Ponram, "Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam" is about a group of careless youths who are involved in conflicts with the senior citizens of the village. Bose (Sivakarthikeyan) heads the "Sangam" (club), while Sivanandi (Sathyaraj) is the head of the village who considers status as the most important thing in life. Sivanandi is dead against his daughters falling in love.

Bose falls in love with Lathapandi (Sridivya), one of Sivanandi's daughters. What happens when Sivanandi finds out his daughter's love-affair with Bose is something to watch on screen.

"Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam" hit the screens on 6 September to cash in on the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The film had a solo release in more than 350 centres across Tamil Nadu.

The comedy caper has received positive feedback for the wonderful performances from Sivakarthikeyan and Sathyaraj. Porotta Soori appears as the hero's sidekick and delivers a neat job. Debutant actress Sridivya is a good find for Kollywood.

Behindwoods Review Board says, "After impressing audiences as the simple and sweet guy next door, Siva Karthikeyan is back with yet another uncomplicated tale of comedy and rural romance in Ponram's Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (VVS). The presence of Sathyaraj is a major push to the movie while Siva's regular partner-in-crime Soori is present here too."

"There is no place for sentiments or melodrama here, as 'take it easy' entertainment seems to be the team's only motto. Worth a watch."

Praising the work of the actors in the film, Indiaglitz says, "The film's biggest strength is Sathyaraj, and the climax alone is enough to show his strength. The man who has shifted gears towards character roles is doing a good job out of it. Siva again, it is a wonder to see this guy in yet another healthy fun movie."

"Soori too is still trying to win our hearts with his USP of one liners, a far stretch however is apt for a sidekick comedian."

Sandesh of Oneindia says, " 'Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam' is a full-ledged comedy and family entertainer. Actor Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj and comedian Parota Soori are the main highlight of the movie."

"The conflicts between the two teams are shown in a comical way and seem quite interesting. The ending is the major bonus of the movie as the fun quotient is increased altogether. But, the story could have been better if it was cut short."

According to Sify, "Ponram through VVS follows the comedy template set by his guru Rajesh and blends them with his hero Sivakarthikeyan's image. Add D Imman's peppy melodies with a rural touch and you get a mass comedy entertainer."

Verdict: Comedy Entertainer, Worth a watch
