Suriya's "Singam 2" seems to maintain steady business even in its second weekend run at the overseas box office.

"Singam 2", which was released on 5 July, opened to a grand response around the globe. The film collected more than ₹50 crore worldwide in the first weekend, according to film's producer, Prince Pictures.

"Singam 2", which fetched approximately ₹99 lakh in the first week (£ 109,483) has made about ₹27 lakh from 18 screens during the second weekend in the UK markets. The total collections are now pegged at ₹1.26 crore.

The action entertainer has done good business in Australia as well. It made ₹7 lakh from eight screens during the second weekend taking the total collections to ₹70 lakh .

"Tamil film #Singam2 maintained steady business in Wknd 2. UK total: £ 139,539 [Rs 1.26 cr] ... Australia total: A$ 128,630 [Rs 70.13 lacs]," film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"Singam 2" business seems to have remained unaffected as there were no big Tamil releases last week. The film also did good business in the US raking in more than ₹1.5 crore in the first week of its release.

The Suriya-starrer has already been declared a superhit in India, following a good response from film buffs. It has grossed more than ₹30 crore in India in the first ten days. The film has performed exceptionally well in key markets including Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Kanchipuram Bangalore and the Malabar area in Kerala.

According to Behindwoods boxoffice analysis, the Tamil version of "Singam 2" made approximately ₹3.5 crore in the last ten days in Karnataka. In Kerala too, the film made around ₹3.5 crore. The Telugu dubbed version of "Singam 2" ("Singam - Yamudu") grossed about ₹14 crore and the share is ₹11.5 crore - 11.75 crore.

The Hindi dubbed version of the film is slated to get released on 19 July. Dhanush's "Mariyaan" ("Maryan") is also scheduled to hit the theatres on the same day. The release of "Mariyaan" might hamper "Singam 2" collections.
