Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS Update Rolled Out to Xolo Q800 via OTA: ReportREUTERS

Japanese electronics major, Sony has reportedly began rolling out the new Jelly Bean update to three Xperia models on Tuesday to fix the bugs found in the earlier OS update released in late May.

Sony community website, Xperia Blog has reported that the new Jelly Bean update (build version: 6.2.B.0.211) has been released to Xperia S (LT26i), Xperia SL (LT26ii) and Xperia acro S (LT26W) to fix number of bugs reported in the earlier OS update (version: 6.2.B.0.200).

As of now, the new firmware is available in Russia and Middle East region. It is expected to be rolled out in other countries soon.

Soon after the OS update got launched last month, some Xperia S owners had reported some lag in the camera applications and a couple more issues related to battery draining quickly even when the device was in power saving 'stamina' mode and recurring problem of volume keys of being temporarily non- functional for some time. With the timely release of the new firmware update, Sony is sure to win back the hearts of its fans.  

In a related news, rumours are rife that the Japanese company is also planning to roll out OS update (version number: 6.2.B.0.204) to 'Xperia ion (LT28h)' smartphone next week. The company's flagship water and dust resistant Xperia Z variants-LTE(C6603) and HSPA+ (C6602) are also expected to get the taste of Android v4.2.2 soon.
