The 66th Cannes Film Festival will kick-off on 15 May in France. As in previous years, this year too will see a host of Indian celebrities at the 11-day film carnival.

At least 15 stars from Indian cinema will walk the red carpet all through the festival, either to promote their films or as brand ambassadors of various products. Apart from the celebrities who regularly attend the carnival, there are some new additions to the list of Indian stars appearing at Cannes.

Take a look at the list of stars who will attend the film festival this year.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai will once again walk the red carpet at the Cannes festival this year. The actress, who made her debut appearance at Cannes in 2002 for promoting her film "Devdas", has been a regular at the festival since then. She will walk the red carpet this year as brand ambassador of beauty brand L'Oreal Paris, which is completing 16 years as the official make-up partner for the Cannes festival.

Vidya Balan

Actress Vidya Balan will make her first appearance at Cannes this year. The actress has been invited to be part of a 10-member jury that includes the likes of Steven Spielberg. The versatile star, who is known for her portrayals in "Kahani" and "Dirty Picture", recently said that she will appear in her all time favourite attire - saree.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor, who is also the brand ambassador of L'Oreal, will walk the Cannes red carpet for the third time. The actress along with Aishwarya Rai and Freida Pinto (also a brand ambassador of L'Oreal) will be sporting the brand's new sunset look inspired by Bollywood's different eras, to mark 100 years of Indian cinema.

Ameesha Patel

Ameesha Patel's upcoming movie "Shortcut Romeo" will be premiered at Cannes this year. The actress recently announced that she will wear a Manish Malhotra creation for the red carpet. The film's lead star Neil Nitin Mukesh and director Susi Ganesh will accompany Ameesha.

Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan's Hollywood debut film "The Great Gatsby" starring Leonardo Dicaprio will premiere at Cannes. Bachchan will appear in a small role that lasts only for a few seconds. He is expected to walk the red carpet with his wife Jaya Bhaduri, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.

Rajinikanth

The trailer of Rajinikanth's most-anticipated movie "Kochadaiyaan" will be unveiled at the film festival. The superstar of south cinema will make his first visit to the festival. "Kochadiayaan" is claimed to be the first 3D Indian movie with motion capturing technology.

Sherlyn Chopra

Actress Sherlyn Chopra will walk the red carpet to unveil the second trailer on her new film "Kamasutra 3D". The actress will be accompanied by the film's director Rupesh Paul.

Anurag Kashyap

Director Anurag Kashyap whose popular movie "Gangs of Wasseypur" made it to Cannes last year will once again make his appearance at the event for the premier of "Bombay Talkies", which has four short stories directed by Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and Dibaker Banerjee. "Bombay Talkies" is a tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema. Kashyap will be accompanied by the other three directors.

Nandita Das

Actress Nandita Das who attended the Cannes festival in 2005 as one of the jury members will once again be seen at the film festival this year. The actress will be part of the jury for the short films category.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui

The talented actor who walked the carpet last year for promoting two of his films will be seen again this time at the festival. Three of his films - "Bombay Talkies", "Dabba" and "Monsoon Shootout" will premiere at the festival.
