Jr NTR's "Baadshah" has performed well at the US box office, while two other Telugu movies -  "Udhayam NH4" and "Shadow" - which were released later in April have not received good response from the audience.

Baadshah

"Baadshah" which was released on 5 April has secured a total of ₹6.93 crore in a month at the US box office. The film, which had a dream run in the first two weeks, made low earnings with new Telugu releases in the last two weeks of April. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla of "Dookudu" fame, "Baadshah" is a action entertainer that has all the ingredients of a successful commercial film.

Udhayam NH4

Tamil-Telugu bilingual film "Udhayam NH4" fetched ₹13.11 lakh in three weeks of its release. Despite getting good reviews from film critics, "Udhayam NH4" failed to make it big at the box office. "Udhayam NH4", starring Siddharth and newcomer Ashrita Shetty, has a major chunk of the story set on National Highway 4 that connects the main cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai.

Though director Manimaran has won accolades for the good storyline, the film failed to impress the audience. The film collected ₹7.14 lakh from 15 screens in the first two days of its release. Even after completing 17 days in theatres, the film earned just ₹13.11 lakh.

Shadow

Victory Venkatesh's "Shadow" was declared a debacle in the US. "Shadow" was one of the most-anticipated films this year, as Venkatesh returned to do an action role after a long gap. The film was thrashed by critics. Even his local fans could not make it successful. The film collected ₹17.27 lakh in 10 days. The number of screens for each of these films differs.

"Telugu - USA - total till Sun: #Baadshah $ 1,280,437 [Rs 6.93 cr]... #UdhayamNH4 $24,228 [Rs 13.11 lacs]... #Shadow $ 31,937 [Rs 17.27 lacs]," trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh, tweeted.

At least five films were released in the month of April in foreign theatres; but only Jr NTR's "Baadshah" and "Nithiin's rom-com "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" have emerged successful, while the rest of the films have failed to make it big.
