Digvijaya Singh Compares Kejriwal with Rakhi Sawant, Risks Defamation Lawsuit
"Arvind Kejriwal is like Rakhi Sawant. They both try and expose but with no substance", Singh tweeted.
His comment was immediately picked up on the Twitter sphere, with several user tweets following.
Singh later apologized to Sawant for the comparison, "Apologies to Rakhi Sawant I am an old fan of hers!", he said on the website.
Apparently, his apology did nothing for Sawant, who on Monday said she will file a defamation lawsuit against him.

"He will now know, what I can do. I am in talks with a lawyer and will definitely drag Singh to the court for insulting a woman. Why don't they concentrate on their work rather than talk about others in a derogatory manner," she told The Times of India.
Elaborating on his attack at Kejriwal, Singh said the IAC activist "levelled all baseless allegations; there was nothing new in it. If he comes with up a new allegation, then we will pay attention to it."
Kejriwal had targeted several politicians and businessmen over alleged financial irregularities and corruption. Robert Vadra, Mukesh Ambani, Nitin Gadkari and Salman Khurshid were amongst those in the activist's hit list.
The manner in which Kejriwal carries out his exposés sparked outrage in the political and corporate world.
Speaking to Press Trust of India about Kejriwal's corruption claims involving Congress MP Annu Tandon, Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi on Saturday said, "If he (Kejriwal) has any evidence he should go to the government or any government agency. Merely by levelling allegations before the media he can only defame somebody but cannot get anything substantial out of it. This shows that he is only interested in defaming people."
Kejriwal accused Tandon of stashing ₹125 crore in a Swiss bank account. Tandon denied the allegations.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal is all set to launch a separate party on Nov 26 and will not name it IAC. Anna Hazare and his associates want to retain the name. "If he (Anna Hazare) asks me to stop using the IAC's name, I won't use it", Kejriwal said, according to PTI.
