"Magadheera" hero and son of actor-turned-politican Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan Teja, is all set to marry his childhood sweetheart Upasana Kamineni in two wedding ceremonies on June 14 and 15.
The big fat south Indian wedding will see several stars from film industry, political bigwigs and business magnets gracing the occasion to bless the beautiful couple.
Several Bollywood biggies including Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan are expected to attending the wedding. Big surprise is superstar Rajinikanth and acting legend Kamal Haasan may also attend the star's wedding.
The sangeet ceremony titled "A Night at the Movies" was held at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on Monday (June 11).
The Sangeet ceremony began at night 8 pm and went on till 4 am. It was a star-studded affair with several Tollywood stars gracing the occasion. Actors Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Tamanna and Shriya Saran performed hit numbers from popular Telugu and Tamil movies.
Charan's filmy friends danced to the tunes of chartbusters including "Subah Hone Na De" from "Desi Boyz," "Chikni Chameli" from "Agneepath" and also performed to some of the popular Telugu songs. Rana presented a skit to the guests gathered.
Popular film industry figures Sreenu Vaitla, Meher Ramesh, Harish Shankar, Ravi Teja, VV Vinayak, Kona Venkat, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Akhil and Sunil were also present at the occasion.
Charan Teja and Upasana's marriage is touted as the biggest in the history of South India with two popular and powerful families bonding together.
Chiranjeevis family is known as the "mega" family. His brothers Nagendra Babu and Pawan Kalyan are popular actors. His brother-in-law Allu Arvind is a film producer. Allu Arvind's son Allu Arjun is also a top actor in Telugu film industry.
On the bride's side, Upasana's grandfather, Prathap C. Reddy, is the founder-chairman of Apollo Hospitals. Her parents are Anil and Shobana Kamineni. They are involved in business related to infrastructure, leisure and healthcare.
Upasana is the Vice President of Apollo Philanthropy, Executive Director of Apollo Life and Editor of BPositive Magazine.
The 'Mega' and 'Apollo' families are leaving no stone unturned to showcase this wedding as the "marriage of the decade."
It will be two weddings for Ram Charan Teja. The first wedding will happen on June 14 at the bride's farmhouse in Hyderabad for family and friends, while the second wedding will take place on June 15 for the fans. More than 4,000 guests are expected to attend the marriage ceremony.
Charan Teja and Upasana have been friends for the past seven years. They started dating two years ago and were engaged last year in December.
