Aamir Khan Meets Gehlot, Seeks Speedy Trial of Foeticide Cases
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Wednesday met Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and discussed on the issue of female foeticide, following his debut talk show Satyamev Jayate (Truth Alone Prevails).

He also requested the chief minister to create a fast track court for the speedy trial of the cases featured on female foeticide.
Gehlot told reporters that Aamir's show has created an environment against female foeticide. The CM also said after hearing about the episode he has called for an emergency meeting to discuss the matter.
"Satyamev Jayate is a great & extra ordinary initiative to root out Female Feticide.I am eager to have a fruitful dialogue with Aamir on 9 May," Gehlot tweeted.
Speaking at a joint press conference with the Rajasthan Chief Minister, actor Amir Khan said : "Female foeticide is a crime which is planned inside a house. First we need to change ourselves. The change should start from me. We all have to work, administration has to work, but each Indian has to think of his responsibility too."
"The change is of the heart and it has to come from heart. I am presenting before you my education so that it also impacts you," said the actor.
"I am an entertainer and so with this vehicle I am trying bring different issues before you," he said.
"Law and order will do its work while from our side we can say that we will not do this."
The sensitive, yet harsh reality of female infanticide in India was the first issue Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan tackled on his debut show Satyamev Jayate that was aired on Star Plus on Sunday. He might reportedly tackle the issue of child sex abuse in his next episode.
