Reds Urged to Buy Carroll and Suarez Accomplice
Liverpool must buy another striker to solve their goal scoring woes, according to club favourite Jan Molby.
The Reds' hopes of qualifying for the Champions League have been undermined by their failings in front of goal, with Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, both of whom were signed during the 2011 January transfer window, struggling at various points of the season.
Having amassed just 43 goals this season, less than Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers, Molby believes extra fire power and improved supply, can assist Liverpool's fortunes in front of goal.
"They spent a lot of money last season," Molby said. "But with all the chances they have wasted, they have to find somebody to score more goals."
"They need wide men who can bring us real quality, a real playmaker in midfield and of course, importantly, and depending on how much money is available, a goalscorer."

"There have been some really disappointing performances in the Premier League and you can't overlook that," Molby added.
"If you become a cup team and you finish seventh, eighth or ninth in the Premier League, the group of players you are going to attract, as great as your history is, is limited.
"Every player worth his salt wants to play in the Champions League. As much as they say the cups are great, Liverpool have to get back there."
Carroll and Suarez cost a combined £57.7m in January last year, with the England forward having suffered problems with his form, while his former Ajax counterpart was forced to serve an eight-match Football Association ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra, a break which disrupted his form.
A hat-trick in the win over Norwich City last weekend was a timely return to form for the Uruguayan, and despite it coming too late to rescue Liverpool's Champions League qualification hopes, the treble stands the striker in good stead ahead of the FA Cup final against Chelsea this weekend.
The club's third trip to Wembley could assist in salvaging their season, with a second domestic cup up for grabs, a victory which would effectively cover over the cracks of a poor league campaign.
