As the Cannes Film Festival approaches (it begins May 16), film loves are already anticipating the star studded arrivals. So far such A-List stars as Angelina Jolie and Kristen Stewart are set to attend. Though the annual event serves as a platform for new and established directors to showcase their work, the red carpet is just as important. Now in it's 64th year, the Cannes Film festival arrivals offer a glimpse at the latest fashion trends as well as tributes to old Hollywood glamor. For decades, Hollywood leading ladies and international sensations have stepped out in gorgeous attire. From gorgeous designs modeled by Marilyn Monroe the elegant blue dress worn by the late Diana Princess of Wales, women's gowns have been a trademark of Cannes.
