The Andaman and Nicobar Police on Tuesday detained a constable who had allegedly asked the Jarawa tribal women to dance for foreign tourists.
The constable had also shot a video of the dancing women.
The police reportedly made the arrests after the victims identified him.
Earlier this year, the shocking video of the endangered Andaman tribal people, including their women folks, who live uncovered waist up, dancing to entertain tourists published by the British newspapers "The Observer" and "The Guardian" created a controversy with the authorities in the archipelago coming under attack from all quarters now.
The entire episode was vehemently criticsed from different sections of the Indian society.
The Jarawas are now a little over 400 in number living in South Andamans.
