Around 57.25 percent voter turnout was recorded in the third phase polling in Uttar Pradesh Wednesday.

The total electorate was 1.75 crore strong in this phase of the assembly elections in India's most populous and politically crucial state.
Voters decided the fate of 1018 candidates who were in the fray for 56 seats across ten districts in the north Indian state.
In this phase the prestige of the Gandhi-Nehru clan was up for trial with assembly seats under Amethi parliamentary constituency besides those in Rai Bareli among the places witnessed the polls.
The ten districts that went to polls were CSM Nagar, Sultanpur, Kaushambi, Allahabad, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra.
Some of the areas like Sonbhadra that went for polls Wednesday were Maoist affected.
According to poll monitor group Uttar Pradesh Election Watch (UPEW), this phase of the election in UP had about 38 percent candidates with criminal cases against them.
Uttar Pradesh will go to vote in four more stages on Feb 19, Feb 23, Feb 28 and March 3.
Counting of votes will be held March 6 along with all four other states that are going to elections this year.
