Anonymous Hackers: Sensitive FBI, Scotland Yard Conference Call Intercepted by Hacking Collective [TRANSCRIPT]
Hackers from the on-line collective Anonymous have intercepted a sensitive conference call between the FBI and British police's cybercrime division, it emerged Friday.
Anonymous published a 15 minute transcript from the call, which was between officers from both countries discussing how to prosecute the hacking collective and its members.
In a Twitter posting the group gloated, "The FBI might be curious how we're able to continuously read their internal comms for some time now," after it emerged members of Anonymous had managed to intercept an email between the FBI and British authorities listing a phone number and password for the sensitive conference call.
In a statement the FBI said the call, "was intended for law enforcement officers only and was illegally obtained."

"A criminal investigation is under way to identify and hold accountable those responsible."
The intercepted email detailed how to log onto the conference and call was addressed to officials in the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden and France, but only American and British officials can be heard on the recording.
The email details how the call was intended to "discuss the on-going investigations related to Anonymous ... and other associated splinter groups."
London's Metropolitan Police (MPS) said in a statement. "We are aware of the video, which relates to an FBI conference call involving a PCeU (Police Central e-crime Unit) representative."
"The matter is being investigated by the FBI. At this stage no operational risks to the MPS have been identified; however, we continue to carry out a full assessment."
Among those discussed on the excerpt posted by Anonymous were a number of British men who have been arrested by the PCeU as part of an international effort to target hacking groups.
The latest attack comes after the group posted a protest against Greece's EU and IMF-inspired austerity policies on the website of the country's justice ministry on Friday.
The site was later taken offline.
Hackers involved with the loosely organized group Anonymous have been linked to attacks around the world aimed at punishing governments for policies they dislike or at showing that corporations' data security efforts are inadequate.
The hackers said they were protesting against the near-bankrupt country's bailout by the European Union and the International Monetary Fund which has been associated with unpopular austerity policies.
