New Delhi - Dilip Chhabria-owned car design boutique DC Design and former Maruti Suzuki chief Jagdish Khattar promoted multi-brand car sales and servicing network Carnation Auto joined hands on Tuesday to offer car enthusiasts custom-made cars at affordable prices.
Among the first in the line of complete customization is Innov8, based on the Toyota Innova, whose interiors see a total revamp including plush leather seats, a privacy partition, a 19-inch LCD TV with optional satellite TV, a sound system with DVD player, a beverages chiller, fold-out tables and ample leg room.
Besides Toyota Innova, customization kits are also available for the Honda City and Suzuki Swift. A customization kit is also being developed for the much-hyped Tata Nano and will be available in 2010.
Each of these kits, which include front and rear bumpers, bonnet enhancements, side skirting and fog lamps and alloy wheels among others, will answer the need for distinct identity, space, privacy, comfort, entertainment and utility and are surprisingly affordable, with prices ranging from Rs.45,000 to Rs.4.95 lakh.
