Bollywood A-listers choose not to be over-shadowed by Bachchan limelight in IIFA ?

10 June 2009 @ 10:36 pm IST

2009 IIFA Awards countdown has begun. The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) will be held in the exotic locale at the picturesque resort in Macau during June 11 13, 2009

But This years IIFA might be a little lowdown with only the Bachchans and Hrithik being the big names to attend the awards night.

Superstars Shahrukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar, have both used the family vacation bahana to not show up at the awards function event. Aamir Khan never attends them, Salman isn't going to be there anymore.

If there was any other Khan, then it was Saif who has chosen T20 World Cup in England over IIFA and Kareena Kapoor will accompany him.

Priyanka Chopra opted out of her performance for reasons unknown and Shahid too refused to give a solo performance due to prior commitments. Ranbir Kapoor had refused to perform earlier because he thinks he doesn't have enough body of work to perform. Well with most Bollywood A-listers backing out, we wonder if IFFA will be a night out with the Bachchan parivaar?

But Sonam will be shaking her leg on the song "Masakali", which is her debut stage performance.
