The new movie, the plot of which is kept under tight wraps, will feature Shah Rukh as a "super hero" with "special effects, gizmos and gadgets just like in 007 films," a Bollywood source close to the development said.

"The movie is going to be directed by Anubhav Sinha (of Dus and Cash fame). Shah Rukh will be going though a strict diet routine to get into a killer shape for the role. The recent shoulder injury has made Shah Rukh bit unfit as he could not work out in the gym regularly. But now, he is all set to work hard for the killer look that will give Daniel Craig a run for his money," the source said.

"While working with Shah Rukh gives Sinha a certain degree of creative freedom, Shah Rukh is also excited by the script and is waiting eagerly to play the character role," the source added.

Shah Rukh is the third of the new breed of actors to play the role of a super-hero. Earlier, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan played superheroes in Krrish and Drona respectively. The former did well in the box office but the latter bombed.

The thriller RA-1 (RA symbolizes the Egyptian Sun God) will be produced under King Khan's own banner Red Chillies Productions and is expected to hit the floors around September.
