As the Brisbane flood waters that created much travel havoc in recent weeks begin to recede, cruise ships are set to return to Queensland ports.
Reportedly, ports in Queensland in Australia were put off because of the floods but about seven ships are expected to return in the coming days helping the state to get back to normal, local media reported.

“In the wake of the flood emergency, Australians are being encouraged to holiday in Queensland to restore the momentum of its usually vibrant tourism sector and this year’s cruise season is more important than most in terms of supporting local economies,” Jenny Lourey, senior vice president of Carnival Australia, which represents P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and P&O Cruises UK, was quoted as saying by media.
