The midseason finale of "Arrow" had a major shock in store for viewers, as it killed off Oliver Queen, and shortly before he seemingly passed away, Oliver confessed his love for Felicity.

But when the show returns for its second half of the season in January, fans will see how Felicity reacts to Oliver's death. Actress Emily Bett Rickards hinted that the episode is going to be highly emotional and she said filming it was a "draining" experience.

Here's what TVLine's Michael Ausiello wrote about episode 10: "I will just remind you that when Matt Mitovich last Q&A'd Emily Bett Rickards, she had just wrapped filming 'a sad moment' for Episode 10 — aka the midseason opener, airing Jan. 21 — and it had left her 'drained.' (Elsewhere on Team Arrow, Marc Guggenheim told us that in the same episode, David Ramsey 'shot what I would describe as his most emotional scene…. David breaks your heart with his performance.'"

Meanwhile, speculations continue on whether Oliver is really dead and if the series can move forward without him. Oliver died after he requested a trial by combat with Ghul, which saw the latter thrusting a sword through Oliver's chest and kicking him over the side of the mountain.

A promo for the upcoming episode also shows Oliver as dead, and his body on a snowy cliff. But many believe he could be clinging on to his life. Or, Ra's al Ghul's Lazarus Pits will bring him back to life, speculated Entertainment Weekly.

Soon after Oliver's death, actor Stephen Amell took to Facebook to erase fans' concerns about the future of the show, writing: "Facebook. Thank you so much for the enthusiasm spilling out of tonight's fall finale. I've never had anywhere near this amount of feedback.

"Despite the title, our show is bigger than any one character. We're going to prove that to you. Sit tight... January will be here in no time."
