Kargil, July 25 (ANI): The Army commemorated the _Vijay Diwas_ at the war memorial in Drass sector of Kargil on Friday. Army Chief General Bikram Singh paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kargil war in the ceremony at the war memorial in Drass. Singh will also interact with the families of the martyred soldiers during the day. Besides the Army Chief, other top commanders of the Army, war heroes, martyrs_ families, and other dignitaries were present at the commemorative wreath laying ceremony. Each year since 1999, the _Kargil Vijay Diwas_ is celebrated on 26 July every year to mark the exit of Pakistan Army from Indian territory and Indian Army bunkers captured by them.
