After reports of Sonakshi Sinha to perform with Justin Bieber in his upcoming India tour came out, popular singer Kailash Kher had said that singers should be accompanied in performance by singers only and not actors. Now singer Armaan Malik, too, has expressed a similar view on Twitter, and got engaged in a bit of exchange of words with Sonakshi on the micro-blogging site.

Armaan made a rather harsh tweet saying that actors should only concentrate on acting, and leave the platform of singing for the singers. "Agree with @Kailashkher sir! Actors are actors & singers are singers. Leave the stage & mic to us, that's our playground not yours," Armaan tweeted sharing an article on Sonakshi's act with Bieber.

However, Sonakshi took notice of Armaan's tweet, and she responded the singer's sense of "insecurity". "A secure artist wud always encourage another artist to grow their skills and follow their dreams. Art in any form should not be suppressed," the Noor actress tweeted.

Soon, Armaan too replied saying: "I agree with u Sonakshi.. but I voiced what I felt about how singers are shunned in our country & given lesser importance than actors!!"

Then Sonakshi targeted the young singer saying how he wanted her to sing once earlier. "And this is definitely not the same tune you were singing when you wanted me to sing for you," she tweeted. Armaan responded by saying Sonakshi is confused between him and his brother Amaal Malik. "You are mistaking me for @AmaalMallik he is the composer," he tweeted.

The actress then clarified saying that both Armaan and Amaal had once approached her to make a song together, which however even Amaal denied on Twitter.

"Of course I know Amaal is the composer but I clearly remem u both coming up to me after an event a while bk asking to do a song together," Sonakshi said. Amaal, in a responding tweet, said: "I may have said let's collaborate, but @ArmaanMalik22 and I haven't attended any such event where we came up together & said this to you." Sonakshi then ended the episode by wishing good luck to the two brothers.
