After "NH 10" and "Phillauri," Anushka Sharma is set to produce her third film, "Kaneda," and it has been reported that Arjun Kapoor will be the lead actor. It will be helmed by Navdeep Singh and this will also star Anushka as the lead actress.

"Anushka will be part of 'Kaneda'. She will produce and act in the film. We are in talks with Arjun Kapoor," sources told the Press Trust of India. The report suggests that Navdeep has narrated the movie's story to Arjun and he has shown his interest in it, but the "Ki and Ka" has not signed the dotted lines yet.

The insider further said that the film's title "Kaneda" is inspired by popular Punjabi pronunciation of the name of the country, Canada. "Don't know why people are referring to 'Kaneda' as a comedy. It is a drama and it is not as intense as 'NH 10' was. We can't talk much about the film," the sources added.

If reports are to be believed then Anushka and Arjun will share screen space for the first time in this flick. Earlier, there were reports that Anushka would star opposite Arjun in "Ki and Ka," but later Kareena Kapoor Khan was finalised.

The "Sultan" actress has currently wrapped up the last schedule of "Phillauri," which also stars "Udta Punjab" actor Diljit Dosanjh. It had been reported that it is a romantic comedy flick and Anushka will play the character of a ghost. The film has been shot in Phillaur, Punjab.

On the other hand, Arjun is currently shooting for Mohit Suri's "Half Girlfriend." The film is based on Chetan Bhagat's bestselling novel of the same name. The actor had earlier starred in "2 States," which was also based on the same author's novel.
