AR Murugadoss' "Kaththi" became a big Diwali release, but controversies around the Vijay starrer refused to die down. 

Initially, some political and religious groups demanded to ban the film's release. Following some violent incidents, the issue was amicably settled. The film was released on 22 October and opened to positive reviews. 

Later, Minjur Gopi had filed a case on the Vijay starrer citing plagarism issues, however, on Wednesday, the court has quashed the plagiarism allegations.

Now, the director, who seems to be planning to remake his "Kaththi" in Bollywood with Salman Khan, has revealed some interesting facts about the film. Find the interesting tweets posted by the ace filmmaker below.

Coming back to the movie, "Kaththi" has become the biggest hit of 2014. The movie made a stunning business on the release day and during the first weekend.

So far, the Tamil movie has raked in more than ₹110 crore worldwide and is still doing well at key centres in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The film also has Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Sathish in pivotal roles. Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the role of a baddie in the flick. The action-thriller is produced by Lyca Productions.

Meanwhile, Vijay and Murugadoss' earlier movie "Thuppakki" is now trending on Twitter. It was this day two years ago, the movie was released and the fans of Ilayathalapathy are celebrating it by recalling their experience of watching it on the first day.
