Yet another day, yet another iPhone 8 leak.

At a time when the rumour mill is flooded with unofficial information about the Apple iPhone 8, the company's next-generation premium smartphone, a purported schematic of the upcoming device surfaced online on Wednesday, showing the rear of the handset.

While the authenticity of the leaked schematic couldn't be verified, it did match many previous rumours about the OLED iPhone 8. The device pictured above suggests that the next-generation iPhone could feature a vertical dual-lens rear camera with an LED flash placed in-between.

The schematic also includes a large circular area, which could be related to implementation of some kind of wireless charging technology. The image, however, doesn't show any rear Touch ID button, suggesting that it will be embedded in the front.

A recent leak also out of Foxconn, which assembles iPhones, also suggested that the iPhone 8 could feature a bezel-less edge-to-edge display, but it may not have a fingerprint scanner at the back.

While a rear Touch ID sensor seems very unlikely, rumours are rife that Apple is facing trouble in integrating a sensor into the iPhone 8's edge-to-edge OLED screen, which will ditch the traditional home button for a virtual one. According to some reports, the iPhone-maker is indeed currently experimenting with a rear Touch ID button.

Some analysts also believe that if the company doesn't scrap its plan to embed the Touch ID into the phone's display, it may have to delay the iPhone 8's launch.

However, a report earlier this week declined rumours that the iPhone 8's mass production could be pushed back. It said that the OLED iPhone 8 won't be delayed due to supply shortage as Samsung is likely to start shipping the OLED panels in June as planned.

Apple is expected to launch three variants of the iPhone this year. The premium iPhone 8, with a price tag of over $1,000, could feature a slightly curved OLED screen measuring 5.2 inches. The other two models, dubbed the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, could come with the conventional liquid crystal display, measuring 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, respectively.
