A purported video showing the Apple iPhone 5se (aka 6c) has surfaced online ahead of the device's rumoured launch in March.

Technology blog M.I.C Gadget have got hold of the Apple device, which is strikingly identical to the iPhone 6 (& 6S) series, but with a smaller stature, leading many to believe the handset to be the speculated iPhone 5se.

The curved edges, the white antenna stripes on the rear side, circular home button with Touch ID feature on the front-panel and ultra sleek body is uncanny.

This apparently has given credence to the rumours that Apple has used iPhone 6 series design template for the iPhone 5se.[Check out the video, HERE]

Even the internal hardware inside is similar. It is expected to come packed with Apple's proprietary A8 CPU with M8 co-processor, 8MP primary camera and a 1.2MP FaceTime snapper at the front as seen in iPhone 6 series.

It is also said to share some features of the current flagship model iPhone 6S, such as Live Photos, Bluetooth 4.2, VoLTE, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi chips.

It is believed that the new iPhone 5se will replace the ageing iPhone 5s series once it is released later this year.

Rumour has it that Apple will host an event by March-end or early April to unveil the iPhone 5se. Besides the handset, the company is also expected pull the wraps off the new iPad Air 3 and Apple Watch 2.
