Apple is all set to roll out iPhone 5 in at least 22 countries on Sept 28 after covering most of Asia, Europe and North America.

The Cupertino-tech giant is rolling out its brand new iPhone in a phased manner. iPhone 5 was initially released to masses in US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK since last Friday.  

The second-batch of roll out will commence coming Friday in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Apple has planned to release its thinnest and lightest iPhone ever in more than 100 countries and attract over 240 service providers by the end of this calendar year.

Meanwhile, India could expect the iPhone 5 soon. However, Apple has not confirmed a release date as far as India is concerned.  

Lately, Apple announced the prices of unlocked versions of iPhone 5 in US. According to the reports, 16GB variant of iPhone 5 will cost $649, 32GB variant will cost $749 while that of 64GB version is $849. The prices of locked versions are $199 (16GB), $299 (32GB) and $399 (64GB).

Apple iPhone 5 features a 4-inch Retina display with 1136-by-640-pixel resolution, and comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants with no option to expand via external card. The device runs on the latest iOS 6 operating system.

The new iPhone boasts of 8-megapixel primary camera and 1.2-megapixel camera on the front. It also supports 4G LTE networks.
