Apple iOS 10 seeding from Sept 13 officially: List of eligible devices for OS update – iPhone 5S, iPhone 5 and more

Apple's much-anticipated iOS 10 is now hours away from being seeded officially to users of iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch. Now, before the release of the newest iOS iteration, it is only imperative for you to understand whether your Apple iDevice would be eligible to officially receive iOS 10.

To assist you in tracking the above aspect, we have compiled an updated list of Apple iDevices that are eligible to receive iOS 10 firmware when the new OS platform starts seeding on Sept.13. Check out the list below:

List of Apple iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch eligible to receive iOS 10:

iOS 10 eligible Apple iPhones:

  • Apple iPhone 5S
  • Apple iPhone 5C
  • Apple iPhone 5
  • Apple iPhone 6 Plus
  • Apple iPhone 6
  • Apple iPhone 6S Plus
  • Apple iPhone 6S
  • Apple iPhone SE
  • Apple iPhone 7 Plus
  • Apple iPhone 7

Do remember that iPhones such as the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS are not eligible to receive iOS 10 OS update.

  • Apple iPad Mini 4
  • Apple iPad Mini 3
  • Apple iPad Mini 2
  • Apple iPad Pro
  • Apple iPad Air 2

iOS 10 eligible Apple iPods:

Upon installation of Apple's iOS 10, you should notice new features such as Raise to Wake (observe notifications in a new way without even pressing a key), better Siri, Quick Type, and upgraded native apps (Photos, Music and others).
