AP SSC Results 2017: Results out today; find out where and how to check it online

The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (APBSE) — popularly known as SSC Board — will declare the results of the class 10 board examinations on Saturday. The board falls under the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), which is an independent department functioning under Ministry of Secondary Education of the government of Andhra Pradesh.

The department is responsible for conducting SSC/OSSC Public Examinations and a number of minor examinations, according to its official website. Of these, the results of the SSC examination should be available on the official website of the APBSE after 3 pm.

It may be noted that the candidates had sat for the examinations from March 26 to April 16. During that time, the examinees had given several papers; of these three were language papers while the rest were non-language papers.

The grading system and pass marks are the same for all papers except the second-language paper. While the passing mark for all other papers is 35, that for the second language-paper is 20. As for the grades, they go from A1 to E, and their weightage goes from 3 to 10 depending on how high a grade is.

Saturday's results will decide the fate of 6,44,961 students, of whom 3,36,801 are boys and 3,08,160 are girls. Last year, the total number was closer to 6.17 lakh, of whom 94.52 percent students had managed to secure passing grades. The passing ratio among boys was 94.77 percent last year, while that among girls was 94.30 percent.

The result for the SSC or the class 10 examination can be seen in the "Results" section of the APBSE website, which is bse.ap.gov.in. It can also be on the home page of the website. Here's how to check the result:

1. Navigate to the page where the links say the results can be found. 

2. Fill in your Name, Registration Number and Date of Birth, as mentioned in your Hall Pass. 

3. Click on "Submit."

4. The result should be displayed by now.

5. If the result is not displayed, refresh the page and try again. If it is still not displayed, try after a few more minutes.
