Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli's Engagement and Marriage Rumours: Is it a Publicity Stunt for 'PK'?

After their engagement reports, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted at a hospital in Mumbai.

"Recently, the couple was spotted at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri, much to the surprise of the onlookers. This hospital is quite close to the hot actress' residence. While Anushka was dressed in white trousers and a light blue top, Virat was seen sporting an orange shirt and beige trousers," stated a Bollywood Life report.

The rumours surrounding the alleged couple, which had died down after Kohli's test series debacle, have now emerged again. With Sharma's "PK" opposite Aamir Khan set to release in less than two months, is it a shrewd marketing strategy employed by the makers of the film or a perfectly-timed coincidence? Only time will tell.

A few days ago there were reports that the parents of the much-in-love couple met and decided on an engagement date.

"A reliable source informs us that Virat's family made a casual visit to Anushka's suburban Mumbai penthouse just before the cricketer started preparing the ODI series with West Indies," stated a Pinkvilla report.

However, the source revealed that since both Sharma and Kohli are family-oriented people, it was a given that their families would meet. The insider also added that the couple might rubbish rumours around their affair, but the elders of respective families know they are meant for each other.

Interestingly, when the marriage speculations were doing the rounds, Sharma's publicist was quick to retort to the gossip. A statement was issued denying the conjectures and that there was no truth in the news being told and written.

While the actress' team might dodge the speculations, reports of the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team, stopping by at her flat quite often, only cements the fact that the two are in a relationship.
