The already grieving family of IAS officer DK Ravi faces another blow with the late officer's aunt passing away on Friday.

Ravi's relative AN Natraj Gowda said that his death came as a shock to his aunt who had stopped eating since the day he died, ANI reported.

The family still hadn't come to terms with the loss of 35-year-old Ravi, who had allegedly hanged himself in his Bengaluru apartment on Monday, when they heard about Ravi's aunt dying of heart attack. The rude shock comes just two days after his parents performed the last rites of their son.

The IAS officer's death has left his parents in shock, grief and anger as the police declared his death as suicide while they have been claiming it to be a case of murder. They staged protests alleging "political pressure" and demanding CBI probe into their son's death.

Ravi, who busted the sand mining scam and stood against the sand and land mafia, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his Bengaluru apartment under mysterious circumstances.
